40 people feared dead as a Lorry carried away by a canal in Amaravati August 10, 2008

This morning, at Narukurlapadu village of Amaravati Mandal (Guntur District), a lorry carrying more than 40 people carried away by the currents of Kondaviti canal (కొండవీటి వాగు) while they were trying to cross the canal. Pakistan’s ruling coalition is meeting today to discuss about the planned charge sheet against Musharraf. The coalition said that Musharraf misused the United States (US) aid that was given for War on Terror. The coalition promise to file a fool-proof charge sheet that is constitutional and legal. Heavy rain lashed Andhra Pradesh and caused death of 40 people. In Hyderabad alone 14 people are dead due to collapse of wall, electrical shocks and drowing. On Tuesday police have found around 18 bombs in residential parts of the Diamond city Surat. Police have successfully deactivated them. It appears that terrorists targeted diamond work shops.
