40 people feared dead as a Lorry carried away by a canal in Amaravati August 10, 2008

This morning, at Narukurlapadu village of Amaravati Mandal (Guntur District), a lorry carrying more than 40 people carried away by the currents of Kondaviti canal (కొండవీటి వాగు) while they were trying to cross the canal. The locals say that around 7 people survived and all others are missing along with the lorry. Read more news at SobhaRani.com.
